Good News/Bad News

Bad News: Broken camera, it was bouncing around while I was riding my bike.  I took it out to take a picture and boom… broken.

Good News: I sent only the camera (not the chip, the battery, or anything else) away to Canon last Tuesday to their repair facility in NJ.  Two days later I received an email stating that they’ve received the camera.

Better News: Canon has a one year warranty on it’s products and apparently my camera’s problem is covered.  Repair is free.  This is amazing news!

Edit: I just checked the status online.  Canon has finished fixing/replacing the camera and is in the process of shipping it back to me via two day Fedex.  The tracking number states that the package started in Virginia which leads me to believe I’m getting a replacement.  This makes me very happy.
